Many people, some don’t know how to get a TIN number and some don’t even know what a TIN number is, so when they come to fill in something, they need this TIN number and they don’t have it.
First of all, what is the TIN number.
Tax Identification Number (TIN) is a number that can be used by a person or a company, like the NIN number, to pay taxes in Nigeria.
What is the use of TIN number.
In other words, the TIN number is used by many people who do business, but the company owners know that very well.
- There is a tax payment, the right of this number that will be given to you is to pay tax on things other than your company’s business.
- To get the opportunity to fill in a government grant, many times when you come to fill in a local grant or an individual grant, you have to enter your TIN number at the because to know if you are paying tax or not.
- Open a company account or you don’t want it, there is an account that if you go to open it, this TIN number is required before you can open this account.
How to register TIN number
How to register TIN number is divided into two parts.
- Individual.
- Non individual.
1. INDIVIDUAL.
The way to register an individual is that you will first go to this link https://tin.jtb.gov.ng/ it will open in their page and then you will see where the individual is written in it as you can see in the photo below.
If you touch it, it will take you to a place where you can enter your name, your BVN and your date of birth and touch the search button. Your name must be the same as the name on your bvn.
If you click on the search, if the items are not correct, you will see the NEXT button appear on the right side of the search, then click on the NEXT button, it will open the form where you can fill in the form, you will see your name that you have filled in your BVN and you will attach your photo to other information.
2. NON INDIVIDUAL.
First of all, you will enter this link https://tin.jtb.gov.ng/ also like the first one, this opportunity is for companies and so on.
Then go to where it is written register for Non individual as you will see in the photon below.
If you click on it, you don’t need to do any verification like the first one, it will take you directly to the page where you can fill out this form.
Put your company name and registration number and everything that needs to be filled in and submit it.
